‘Hands-On Horse Experience’ in the Equine Tent at the 162nd Erin Fall Fair.
Please join us in the Erin Fair Equine Tent (back of the Fair, beside the Ag. Awareness Tent) during Saturday, Sunday and Monday for a real, live horse happening!
Exhibitors include Equine Guelph’s award-winning Equimania!, Caledon Equine Hospital, Royal LePage RCR Realty Inc., Brokerage Welcome Centre, Grand River Ag. Society & Raceway, Spring-Gait Mini-Horses, The Donkey Farm, The Ontario Equestrian Federation and our very own Wellington County Mounted Police (monday only). Live horses and ponies, interactive education and lots of horsing around, all weekend long!
Presentations and clinics will include:
Blacksmith demonstration (hot-shoeing techniques), Horse Health-check, Equine Physiotherapy, Natural Horsemanship, Equine Art techniques, Barefoot Hoof-care, Meet a Race-horse, and Colic Prevention.
On-going live horse breed demos throughout the weekend including Icelandic Gaited Horses, Paint/Pinto, Canadian Warmblood, Quarter-horse, Draft horse, Welsh Pony, Standardbred, Mini Horses and Mini Donkeys–there’s a horse in the right colour and size for every member of your group.
New for 2012! Stable-building Competition for youth under 16, all entries will be on display in the Equine Tent (see 2012 Erin Fair Prize Book, page 132 for more information on this activity). Come in and see what the kids intend to create with your retirement savings!
Mini Chuck Wagon Race–Horse and Driver ‘Meet and Greet’ to take place in the Equine Tent, following the noon race on Monday. See you at the Fair!
